Russ August & Kabat
Los Angeles firm handling litigation, finance, real estate and intellectual property, RAK lies along the continuum between “boutique” and “mega-firm”. DLS went counter to the blues of conventional law firm sites but kept, and rehabilitated, the firm’s longstanding logo, believing that our customers don’t have to sacrifice equity in a logo that has already built up recognition, especially if it can be improved. www.raklaw.com
Thompson Wigdor & Gilly LLP
TWG represents clients in high-profile labor and discrimination
suits against major corporations in areas such as banking and mass-market
retail. We designed a striking web site and regularly update its
press page with new cases and victories. The web site was designed
at the inception of the law firm, and it was its "single most
important decision. It's the blueprint, really, for our practice."

Kobre & Kim LLP
The firm represents institutional and private clients in fields
such as banking and finance, communications, biotech, etc. Our design
employs heavy use of Flash animation in the site's opening sequence
and navigation areas to achieve a look of polish and aggresiveness.
Started by two former prosecutors, Kobre & Kim has expanded

Kreindler & Kreindler LLP
The leading plaintiff's firm handling high-profile airline accidents
in the U.S. DLS originally designed the first web site for this
firm in 1998 and has continued its maintenance ever since. The design
and structure have recently been overhauled, with additional changes
planned over the next several months. We also designed the firm's

Gordon & Silber, PC
We designed this handsome web site for Gordon & Silber, a 35-attorney
firm in midtown Manhattan. The firm handles insurance defense, medical
malpractice, products liability and related areas. Completed July,

Hoffinger Stern & Ross LLP
HSR handles multiple practice areas: criminal and general civil litigation, trial and appellate practice, corporate, entertainment, real estate, and employment law, product liability defense and family law. Designed and completed in the fall of 2007. www.hsrlaw.com.
Venzie, Phillips & Warshawer, PC
Located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, this law firm handles all facets of the construction and surety bond industries. DLS designed their new web site in 2007, along with their logo, stationery and email marketing campaign. www.venzie.com
Simon & Partners, LLP
A steadily-growing litigation law firm specializing in high-profile
white collar, criminal and civil litigation, Simon & Partners
hired DLS to implement an "arresting" design. A bit of
Flash on the home page, and a dizzying view of the firm's Rock Center
office tower help the overall effect. The firm is opening a second

The firm represents clients in high-profile, complex litigations
and government investigations. The design of the web site needed
to capture the firm's aggressive style and experience in negotiating
with, and litigating against, prosecutors and other major law firms.

GGRG, a firm that has spanned nearly 80 years, helps their clients
gain compensation for property seized by the government in condemnation
procedures. Handling highly complex eminent domain cases, they work

Epstein & Littwin LLP
Warmer colors, and more pictures of people were used to set a welcoming
tone on this firm's web site, which concentrates on elder law, trusts
& estates, and health care advocacy. A Flash animation plays
on the idea that both the firm's name, and their practice area Elder

Milestone is an independent management consulting firm focusing on the global financial markets industry. Their offerings include merger and integration advisory services, strategy, business process design, risk management, etc. At www.milestonenyc.com
Praesidian Capital
A $150 million private fund, Praesidian provides "mezzanine
debt" for middle-market companies: established, historically
profitable companies as well as for management/leveraged buyouts,
recapitalizations and refinancings. Our design for the logo consists
of three linked diamonds, symbolizing mezzanine debt's position
between bank capital and shareholder equity (ie, stocks). At www.praesidian.com
Precision Meetings and Events
Coordinates business meetings and events for corporate clients.
Their services include selection of venue, design of a meeting's
agenda and coordination of functions such as registation. Flash
animations are used on the homepage and each page within the site.

Security & Investigative Placement Consultants, LLC
A recruitment firm specializing in matching security and investigative
personnel with employers. Front end is a clean, simple interface
using Flash; backend is a content management system. www.siplacement.com
Manhattan BNI
BNI is a national networking organization that helps its members
exchange referrals. As a long-time member, DLS is proud to have
been chosen to design the official site of Manhattan BNI, its New
York City incarnation. A third-party content management system enables
BNI directors to update the site through a browser-based interface.

Cox & Company, Inc.
Manufactures and designs equipment for de-icing and temperature
control in the aerospace, aviation and transportation industries.
Contains a considerable amount of large, detailed product photography
and documentation. DLS Designed worked in conjunction with Lido

A.M.I. Contract Foodservice
Our third web site for A.M.I. Contract, a commercial kitchen
equipment and wholesale supply distributor (see following two entries).
Our fluid, curving interface is linked to a product database provided

A.M. Foodservice International
This web site for an international distributor of restaurant equipment
features foreign-language pictures and lots of product photos. The
homepage opens with a sweeping Flash animation. Designed by DLS
in 2004, the client is the same company that owns SPI, below. www.amifood.com
SPI / Spare Parts International
International supplier of spare parts for commercial cooking equipment.
Based in the US, SPI's customers are international, and the site
includes eight foreign-language pages. The site links to an industry-wide

CastleVeil
This web site is dedicated solely to CastleVeil, an extensive line
of window shading fabric from Newcastle Fabrics. A third site was
deemed appropriate for the company, both to show more detail than
their institutional web site, and to help improve search engine

Newcastle Fabrics
Brooklyn-based converter of raw materials as diverse as vinyl and
straw into wall and window coverings. Newcastle sells to architects,
interior designers, and industrial customers. Another "oldie"

Acoustone
Manufacturer of sound-dampening fabrics for use in offices, theaters,
sound studios and other venues. Because of the firm's prominence
in a niche market, the site generates a formidable number of inquiries
from architects, sound engineers and others interested in the fabrics.

Drew Stein, MD, Orthopedist
The orthopedic practice of Drew Stein, MD, needed a great
web site, fast! Who to call in an emergency? DLS Design. We did
a full "workup," including pages on injuries broken out
by part of the body. Dr. Stein specializes in sports medicine and

Dr. Kolin and Dr. Liebman, Orthodontics Practice
This father-daughter team practices on Montague Street, occupying
the entire eighth floor of their building located at the center
of Brooklyn Heights. With short pages, bright colors and a simple

Non-Profit, Educational, Social Services and Religious
June Stern Family Foundation
The June Stern Family Foundation provides scholarships to teachers, and grants to schools to help children with dyslexia. Operating area is the twin cities region in Minnesota. DLS designed the web site as well as the foundation’s logo consisting of stylized versions of the letters j, s and f working off a common shape, and intertwined. Volunteer Center of Danbury
The Volunteer Center is a leading organization in Connecticut which connects people to volunteer service and provides other resources to support nonprofit organizations. DLS designed this graphically rich web site over a period of several months, completing the project in March 2008. Designed by David Schiffer, Yuliya Dagayeva and Sabrina Sukhram. The Boys and Girls Clubs of Northern Westchester
This regional branch of a well-known national organization offers supervised recreational programs for young people, in a safe environment with extensive facilities. DLS designed the site from scratch, including the signature theme, “Education… Recreation… Inspiration!” www.boysandgirlsclubnw.org
The Gillen Brewer School
Completed in December 2005, our web site for The Gillen Brewer School,
whose students are younger children with emotional, developmental
and learning disabilities. The site was designed to have a light,
simple appearance but has the capacity for a large number of linked

LinkToIsrael
A new site designed for longtime client MERCAZ USA (see below).
LinkToIsrael is a collection of resources available to people who
want to strengthen their commitment to Israel, including travel
and political information. Part of a marketing effort for the World

Education Without Boundaries
Run by students, EWB works on education-oriented projects. In their
first mission in Sierra Leone, a nation torn by civil war, the group
will construct an all women's rehabilitation center. Located in
Freetown, it will serve young women who were sexually abused during
the war, and provide education, vocational training and micro loans.

MERCAZ USA
An organization representing Conservative Jewish interests in the
United States and all over the world. "Mercaz" means "center"
in Hebrew, and has multiple significances for its membership. Includes
news, philanthropic information, programs, and a secure form for

Larry King productions
DLS designed this clean and classy web site for NYC-based Larry King Productions, who has been providing premium music and entertainment to private and corporate clients for decades. His big bands, DJs, dancers and shows are seen — and heard — at weddings, cocktail receptions and business events here and abroad. Office Furniture Heaven
A New York City institution, Office Furniture Heaven sells commercial
office furniture of the new, used and reconditioned kinds. We designed
this first-stage web site in just a few weeks, putting the client
out there with a crisp, easily navigated site covering all the basics.
At the outset of the project, we plotted the likely functions we'll
add to the site, as it grows to meet additional needs. At www.officefurnitureheaven.com
Window-Fix
The fix is in, as DLS completes work on this comprehensive web site for Window-Fix. Designed for ease of use, we returned to an old method, using simple icons to flag the main areas of the site. To clarify the company’s offerings, DLS rendered several dozen new technical illustrations of window mechanisms. And we attached videos of several commercials, already well-known in the NYC market. www.windowfixinc.com
Millennium Temporary Personnel
A general staffing company handling both temporary and permanent
placements. Originally designed by DLS in 2000, and brought up to
date in the spring of 2005, the design uses softer colors to appeal
to a segment of the business where women outnumber men as candidates.
