Former federal prosecutors with big firm experience, the two partners will represent clients in civil litigation, regulatory and other matters. Adams Holcomb LLP
Litigators leaving a larger firm hired DLS to implement their firm branding and web site. Adams Holcomb LLP, in Washington DC, handles complex litigation and antitrust matters. Our logo for the firm takes as its starting point a cocktail napkin sketch from one of the lawyers and uses strong, simple geometric shapes easily applied across all media. Balber Pickard Maldonado & Van Der Tuin, PC
NYC firm Balber Pickard has practices in real estate, litigation, commercial transactions, trusts and estates and music. Built on our classic boutique law firm model, the site has simple bios and practice areas with very little fluff. Its colors and page structures to support outstanding photography by colleague David Lubarsky. One partner says, "Outstanding website. Thank you very much for your work and for the result." Furman Kornfeld & Brennan LLP
For Furman Kornfeld and Brennan, who recently opened their doors in Manhattan, DLS designed an aggressive web site, logo and suite of print pieces to support the firm's message. Under the banner "Defenders For the Professions," the firm provides legal representation for medical, legal and other professionals, national and international corporations, and insurance and healthcare companies. www.fkbllp.com

Russ August & Kabat
Los Angeles firm handling litigation, finance, real estate and intellectual property, RAK lies along the continuum between “boutique” and “mega-firm”. DLS went counter to the blues of conventional law firm sites but kept, and rehabilitated, the firm’s longstanding logo, believing that our customers don’t have to sacrifice equity in a logo that has already built up recognition, especially if it can be improved. www.raklaw.com

Thompson Wigdor & Gilly LLP
TWG represents clients in high-profile labor and discrimination suits against major corporations in areas such as banking and mass-market retail. We designed a striking web site and regularly update its press page with new cases and victories. The web site was designed at the inception of the law firm, and it was its "single most important decision. It's the blueprint, really, for our practice." Kreindler & Kreindler LLP
The leading plaintiff's firm handling high-profile airline accidents in the U.S. DLS originally designed the first web site for this firm in 1998 and has guided the client through several major upgrades, while continuing its maintenance to the present. Federman Steifman LLP
... works on matters involving sophisticated real estate, structured finance and corporate transactions. DLS Design blended images from our own collection of NYC skyline and construction photography along with some still life work, and a balanced corporate palette of blues, grays and silvers. HSR handles multiple practice areas: criminal and general civil litigation, trial and appellate practice, corporate, entertainment, real estate, and employment law, product liability defense and family law. Designed and completed in the fall of 2007. www.hsrlaw.com

Venzie, Phillips & Warshawer, PC
Located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, this law firm handles all facets of the construction and surety bond industries. DLS designed their web site, along with their logo, stationery and email marketing campaign. www.venzie.com

Simon & Partners, LLP
A steadily-growing litigation law firm specializing in high-profile white collar, criminal and civil litigation, Simon & Partners hired DLS to implement an "arresting" design. A bit of Flash on the home page, and a dizzying view of the firm's Rock Center office tower help the overall effect. The firm is opening a second office in Washington DC. www.simonlawyers.com

Epstein & Littwin LLP
Warmer colors, and more pictures of people were used to set a welcoming tone on this firm's web site, which concentrates on elder law, trusts & estates, and health care advocacy. A Flash animation plays on the idea that both the firm's name, and their practice area Elder Law, share the same initials, L and E. www.lawadvocacy.com

Cox & Company, Inc.
Manufactures and designs equipment for de-icing and temperature control in the aerospace, aviation and transportation industries. Contains a considerable amount of large, detailed product photography and documentation. DLS Designed worked in conjunction with Lido Printing and Graphics on this project. www.coxandco.com

A.M.I. Contract Foodservice
Our fourth web site for A.M.I., a restaurant and catering equipment and wholesale distributor now expanding into new roles including the design of turnkey systems in the Middle East. www.amifood.com

SPI / Spare Parts International
International supplier of spare parts for commercial cooking equipment. Based in the US, SPI's customers are international, and the site includes eight foreign-language pages. The site links to an industry-wide database of hundreds of items. www.spiparts.com

CastleVeil
This web site is dedicated solely to CastleVeil, an extensive line of window shading fabric from Newcastle Fabrics. A third site was deemed appropriate for the company, both to show more detail than their institutional web site, and to help improve search engine position for the product line. www.castleveil.com

Newcastle Fabrics
Brooklyn-based converter of raw materials as diverse as vinyl and straw into wall and window coverings. Newcastle sells to architects, interior designers, and industrial customers. Another "oldie" from 2000, and updated by DLS as new product appears. www.newcastlefabrics.com

Acoustone
Manufacturer of sound-dampening fabrics for use in offices, theaters, sound studios and other venues. Migraine Research Foundation
The only nonprofit organization dedicated solely to migraine research in the United States. The new site designed in 2009 by DLS Design features more extensive information than the client's previous web site, as well as a clean new design. The goal of the site will be to attract donations to this worthy cause, and the site facilitates this through online donation forms we implemented. At www.migraineresearchfoundation.org

Drew Stein, MD, Orthopedist
The orthopedic practice of Drew Stein, MD, needed a great web site, fast! Who to call in an emergency? DLS Design. We did a full "workup," including pages on injuries broken out by part of the body. Eric Baron, L.Ac., Acupuncturist
DLS designed the web site for this acupuncture office in a manner very similar to our traditional, western healthcare sites. This reflects the world view of Eric Baron, and his instructions to us as we built the site. Mount Sinai Medical Center for Sports Medicine
DLS designed the web site for this orthopedics practice focusing on the treatment of sports injuries, arthroscopic and reconstructive surgeries. Headed by two orthopedic surgeons, Dr. A. Colvin and Dr. J. Gladstone, who are often quoted in the media on medical issues. The practice is on the east side of Manhattan and the site is at www.mountsinaisportsmedicine.com

Encino Periodontics & Implants
Located in Encino, CA, this practice specializes in the treatment of gum disease including cosmetic procedures to improve appearance, dental implants to replace missing teeth, and the diagnosis and treatment of oral pathology. See the web site we designed at www.encinoperio.com

Dr. Kolin and Dr. Liebman, Orthodontics Practice

Non-Profit, Educational, Social Services and Religious

Neighborhood Defender Service
NDS provides legal defense and other services to members of the public in upper Manhattan. Their approach includes a team that starts with volunteer lawyers and goes on to include social workers, investigators and others. Additional services include conflict resolution training. At www.ndsny.org

June Stern Family Foundation
The June Stern Family Foundation provides scholarships to teachers, and grants to schools to help children with dyslexia. Operating area is the twin cities region in Minnesota. DLS designed the web site as well as the foundation’s logo consisting of stylized versions of the letters j, s and f working off a common shape, and intertwined. Volunteer Center of Danbury
The Volunteer Center is a leading organization in Connecticut which connects people to volunteer service and provides other resources to support nonprofit organizations. DLS designed this graphically rich web site over a period of several months, completing the project in March 2008. Designed by David Schiffer, Yuliya Dagayeva and Sabrina Sukhram. The Boys and Girls Clubs of Northern Westchester
Serving Mount Kisco, Tarrytown and Yorktown, this regional branch of the well-known national organization offers supervised recreational programs for young people, in a safe environment with extensive facilities. DLS designed the site from scratch, including the signature theme, “Education… Recreation… Inspiration!” www.boysandgirlsclubnw.org

Just So You Know Foundation
For those living with cancer, the Just So You Know web site is a space for people to record an oral history of their lives. DLS worked with the client's logo; the look is colorful, soft and respectful. There is a section of "conversation starters" to help visitors gather their thoughts as they contemplate recording them. The site is a chance to create a legacy for sharing with friends, family and children. www.just-so-you-know.org

The Gillen Brewer School
Completed in December 2005, our web site for The Gillen Brewer School, whose students are younger children with emotional, developmental and learning disabilities. The site was designed to have a light, simple appearance but has the capacity for a large number of linked sections for school operations. At www.gillenbrewer.com

LinkToIsrael
A new site designed for longtime client MERCAZ USA (see below). LinkToIsrael is a collection of resources available to people who want to strengthen their commitment to Israel, including travel and political information. Part of a marketing effort for the World Zionist Congress elections in the coming year. At www.linktoisrael.com

Education Without Boundaries
Run by students, EWB works on education-oriented projects. In their first mission in Sierra Leone, a nation torn by civil war, the group will construct an all women's rehabilitation center. Located in Freetown, it will serve young women who were sexually abused during the war, and provide education, vocational training and micro loans. DLS designed the project on a pro-bono basis. An organization representing Conservative Jewish interests in the United States and all over the world. "Mercaz" means "center" in Hebrew, and has multiple significances for its membership. DLS designed this clean and classy web site for NYC-based Larry King Productions, who has been providing premium music and entertainment to private and corporate clients for decades. His big bands, DJs, dancers and shows are seen — and heard — at weddings, cocktail receptions and business events here and abroad. Office Furniture Heaven
A New York City institution, Office Furniture Heaven sells commercial office furniture of the new, used and reconditioned kinds. We designed this first-stage web site in just a few weeks, putting the client out there with a crisp, easily navigated site covering all the basics. At the outset of the project, we plotted the likely functions we'll add to the site, as it grows to meet additional needs. At www.officefurnitureheaven.com

Window-Fix
The fix is in, as DLS completes work on this comprehensive web site for Window-Fix. Designed for ease of use, we returned to an old method, using simple icons to flag the main areas of the site. To clarify the company’s offerings, DLS rendered several dozen new technical illustrations of window mechanisms. Simply Sports
A haven for Manhattan parents, and a great place for kids, Simply Sports runs supervised sports programs in baseball, basketball, dodgeball, soccer and more for weekends, school days off, and other times.
