Robbins Russell, in Washington DC, handles Supreme Court appeals, trial litigation, and antitrust matters. The lawyer bios, and the site overall, are rich with supporting documents including trial memoranda and briefs. Launched in 2012. www.robbinsrussell.com

Federman Steifman
Federman Steifman works on matters involving sophisticated real estate, structured finance and corporate transactions. DLS Design blended images of different corporate building facades and windows, and a balanced corporate palette of blues, grays and silvers. This 2012 site is the second round for DLS: we designed the first iteration in 2006. www.federmansteifman.com

Russ August & Kabat
Los Angeles firm handling litigation, entertainment, real estate and intellectual property, RAK lies along the continuum between "boutique" and "mega-firm". DLS Design refreshed the web site we had done several years earlier with a new design and navigation at the start of 2011, resulting in a dazzling new presentation. www.raklaw.com

Gordon & Silber
DLS Design produced its first version of the web site for Manhattan firm Gordon & Silber, which handles defense-side insurance and medical malpractice, in 2006. We were fortunate to be chosen to re-design the site, which went live with its new look and feel, in January 2011. www.gordon-silber.com

Slevin & Hart
DLS rejuvenated the online presence of Washington DC employee-benefits law firm Slevin & Hart in the summer of 2012, building a stunning user interface, backed by a Drupal CMS, enabling our client to have complete control of their content. www.slevinhart.com

Dresnick, Rodriguez & Perry
Based in Miami, Florida, the firm of Dresnick, Rodriguez & Perry tapped DLS Design to design a completely new site in 2010. The firm handles health care providers and institutions on the defense side. www.dresnicklaw.com

Szendel, PLLC
While handling many established law firms, DLS Design also has a significant practice in designing web sites for new law firms, and new solo attorneys starting a practice. One striking example of this is the site we designed in 2010 for Adrian Szendel, who opened shop in Manhattan to practice litigation and dispute resolution and bankruptcy law. www.szendel.com

Adams Holcomb LLP
Litigators leaving a larger firm hired DLS to implement their firm branding and web site. Adams Holcomb LLP, in Washington DC, handles complex litigation and antitrust matters. Our logo for the firm takes as its starting point a cocktail napkin sketch from one of the lawyers and uses strong, simple geometric shapes easily applied across all media. Schpoont & Cavallo, LLP
Manhattan-based boutique firm handling matrimonial work including divorce, custody, prenuptial documents and family law. Uses a light palette, and designed to be simple to click through, but carefully search-optimized. www.schpoontcavallo.com

Balber Pickard Maldonado & Van Der Tuin, PC
NYC firm Balber Pickard has practices in real estate, litigation, commercial transactions, trusts and estates and music. Built on our classic boutique law firm model, the site has simple bios and practice areas with very little fluff. Its colors and page structures to support outstanding photography by colleague David Lubarsky. One partner says, "Outstanding website. Thank you very much for your work and for the result." Thompson Wigdor LLP
Thompson Wigdor represents clients in high-profile labor and discrimination suits against major corporations in areas such as banking and mass-market retail. We designed a striking web site and regularly update its press page with new cases and victories. The web site was designed at the inception of the law firm, and was described by the partners as their "single most important decision. It's the blueprint, really, for our practice." When DLS designed the web site for Lorico, a clean, spare, Bauhaus-influenced design was the approach favored by the client, from among several we presented in a variety of styles. Lorico manages real estate and offers financial and consulting services to clients throughout the country. SPI / Spare Parts International
International supplier of spare parts for commercial cooking equipment. Based in the US, SPI's customers are international, and the site includes eight foreign-language pages. The site links to an industry-wide database of hundreds of items. www.spiparts.com

Psychiatric Financial Solutions

Migraine Research Foundation
The only nonprofit organization dedicated solely to migraine research in the United States. The new site designed in 2009 by DLS Design features more extensive information than the client's previous web site, as well as a clean new design. The goal of the site will be to attract donations to this worthy cause, and the site facilitates this through online donation forms we implemented. At www.migraineresearchfoundation.org

Drew Stein, MD, Orthopedist
DLS Design rehabbed the web site for Drew Stein, MD, a Manhattan orthopedist. We created Dr. Stein's original site in 2005, and now that the practice has grown and evolved, kept the best aspects of that site, brightening the pages, using new methods for building a page, and adding social media. Dr. Kolin and Dr. Liebman, Orthodontics Practice

Nonprofit, Educational, Social Services and Religious

Federal Defenders of New York
DLS Design created this new site for the Federal Defenders of New York, which provides legal counsel to people charged with federal crimes who can't afford an attorney. The design is intended to convey the gravity — but not heaviness — of the organization's mission. The site is built in the content management system MODx, a flexible application enabling the site owner to edit pages with simple tools from a document tree like any computer. www.federaldefendersny.org

Phillips Oppenheim
Phillips Oppenheim Specializes in high-end executive search services for nonprofits, based in New York City and Washington DC. Building upon an established corporate identity, the new site by DLS Design has a broad footprint and bold colors, new file hierarchy, and easier navigation. At www.phillipsoppenheim.com. Heights & Hills
Heights & Hills is one of the largest providers of support services for community-dwelling older adults in Brooklyn and their families. They meet with older people in their homes, and give support to caregivers such as family members. DLS designed the site in conjunction with the organization's development agency. www.heightsandhills.org

Neighborhood Defender Service
NDS provides legal defense and other services to members of the public in upper Manhattan. Their approach includes a team that starts with volunteer lawyers and goes on to include social workers, investigators and others. Additional services include conflict resolution training. www.ndsny.org

June Stern Family Foundation
The June Stern Family Foundation provides scholarships to teachers, and grants to schools to help children with dyslexia. Operating area is the twin cities region in Minnesota. DLS designed the web site as well as the foundation’s logo consisting of stylized versions of the letters j, s and f working off a common shape, and intertwined. The web site adds to our growing portfolio of educational web sites. www.junesternfoundation.org

Mount Kisco Child Care Center
Located in Northern Westchester, the organization provides child care and nutritional services to children ranging from infant to schoolage. Two special programs are Feed Me Fresh, which emphasizes farm-grown, organic produce, and the JEWEL program, where children spend time with older adults who live in an adjoining section of the building. www.mkccc.org

MERCAZ USA
An organization representing Conservative Jewish interests in the United States and all over the world. "Mercaz" means "center" in Hebrew, and has multiple significances for its membership. Includes news, philanthropic information, programs, and a secure form for purchasing memberships. www.mercazusa.org
