Specialists in new law firms, DLS Design has just completed the design of the new web site for Petrillo Klein LLP, which just formed. Former federal prosecutors with big firm experience, the two partners will represent clients in civil litigation, regulatory and other matters. In tandem with the firm's new web site, DLS is designing collateral material and announcements, both printed and electronic. The new site is at www.petrilloklein.com January 2010: DLS Fortifies Public Defenders
DLS Design has just completed a new web site for The Neighborhood Defender Service of Harlem (NDS). The agency offers legal defense to members of the public in upper Manhattan, using a team that starts with volunteer lawyers and broadens to include social workers, investigators and others. Additional services include conflict resolution training. At www.ndsny.org. January 2010: Ladies Who Launch
For January, DLS Design has just launched web sites for two solo practitioners in very different law practices. Coming from the SEC, Abbe Tiger represents financial industry professionals and others in regulatory and white-collar criminal investigations from her practice in Manhattan. DLS designed the web site, logo and print collateral, and will be finishing the blog shortly. At www.abbetiger.com. Susan Busby has established a new practice in West Hartford, Connecticut. Her matrimonial and family practice focuses on mediation and collaboration. Her intent is to offer methods that are less adversarial, and more economical than litigation. At www.susanbusby.com December 2009: DLS Connects with Connecticut Clients
Connecticut is one of the most rapidly growing markets for DLS Design's business building proficient web sites for middle-market companies of all kinds. This month we completed the web site for Edgerton HVAC, serving Fairfield Connecticut residential and commercial customers needing heating, air conditioning services -- sales, design and installation. At www.edgertonhvac.com. We also implemented an all-new web site for A.M.I. Contract Foodservice, who provide restaurant and catering equipment, and the engineering services needed to install it, throughout the Middle East. This is the fourth web site we have completed for A.M.I. At www.amifood.com. We built a clean look around each company's branding scheme, making text- and link-rich web sites optimized for high search engine visibility. November 2009: Mount Sinai Medical Center Sports Medicine
DLS Design adds to our portfolio of important healthcare web sites with the completion of a new site for Mount Sinai Medicial Center, Center for Sports Medicine. Located in Manhattan, the center's doctors specialize in the treatment of athletic injuries, arthroscopic surgery, knee and shoulder reconstructive surgery and new areas such as viscosupplementation and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy. Patient forms and contact information are a must on medical practice web sites, and the site includes a wealth of these. At www.mountsinaisportsmedicine.com. November 2009: This Law Web Site is No Crime
Building upon a pre-existing web site by one of the national vendors, which the client felt missed the mark, DLS designed and produced a new one for the law firm of Pagán & Pagán. In designing the new site, we cut away layers of "search-engine speak" — the many subheads and strings of words appearing on web sites in the expectation of helping in search results. This format often results in clutter that is difficult on the human eyes that actually view a site. Pagán & Pagán is a father and son team specializing in criminal defense. They also handle civil litigation and other work. At www.ramonpaganlaw.com. October 2009: Flying Solo, and Flying Carefully
For October, we present the web site of solo-practitioner Keir Dougall, who recently set up a solo-practice law firm. At the client's request, this site avoids animations and other special effects, and keeps its presentation strong with a restricted palette, dark slate color, and minimal use of images. At www.dougallpc.com. For long-time client Kreindler & Kreindler, we implemented a blog exploring law and aviation safety. Utilizing WordPress technology on the backend, the client is able to administer the site, create new articles, organize the content in multiple ways, and set up a variety of authors and users with differing levels of access. At www.airsafetyandlaw.com. September 2009: Baby Expo Site is Born
A new consumer/trade exhibition, held at various locations across the US, It's A Baby and Family Expo brings together vendors promoting their juvenile products, technologies and techniques to raise a happy, healthy baby in a safe, clean world. The site is in its infancy, and you can watch it grow. At www.itsababyexpo.com August 2009: Greg Poe Takes Wing
Attorney Greg Poe commences operations the first business day of August 2009, fully equipped with this clean new web site in classic mode. Located in Washington, D.C., his new law firm focuses on the representation of individuals and companies in white collar criminal proceedings and other government enforcement actions. Our implementation of Mr. Poe's blog follows shortly. DLS has certainly developed a sub-specialty among startup law firms, and welcomes all new inquiries. Visit the site at www.gpoelaw.com. July 2009: Eric Baron AcupunctureDLS designed the web site for the acupuncture office of Eric Baron in a manner very similar to our traditional, western healthcare sites. This reflects the world view of its proprietor, and his instructions to us as we built the site. It consists of high-quality images of the office, as well as detailed explanations of the practice and philosophy. Visit the site at www.eric-baron.com July 2009: Aikenhead Cipes & Supanich Gives DLS a PromotionDLS completed the new design for the law firm of Aikenhead, Cipes & Supanich, based in Los Angeles. ACS had been a maintenance client, where our job was to take care of an older web site. Being pleased with our services, the firm asked us to design a new site from scratch, now running at www.acslaw.net. If your firm just needs help with an existing web site, we are happy to oblige. If you're pleased with our services, we are more than willing to be promoted later on. July 2009: Law Firm Blows the Whistle for Good DesignWith offices in Maryland and Virginia, Kubli & Associates, P.C. is a boutique law firm that specializes in "whistleblower" cases, government and general litigation. The firm contacted DLS as via referral from another law firm whose site we recently designed. In putting together the project's design, we used a red-white-and-blue color vocabulary, softened with a second, lighter blue. At www.kubliandassociates.com May 2009: Web Revamp with Brochure for Longstanding Client
DLS designed the first web site for firm then named Friedman, Levy & Goldfarb early in the decade. As the firm grew, it became evident a revamp was needed, which we happily completed this spring, at www.friedmanlevy.com. Pursuing a two pronged approach, the firm, now expanded to Friedman, Levy, Goldfarb, Weiner and Kresman PC, commissioned DLS to design a matching brochure. This compact, 3-panel setup has become our most requested format for law firms. April 2009: Macht, Shapiro, Arato & Isserles LLPWith emphasis on intellectual property, media and entertainment practice, startup boutique Macht, Shapiro, Arato & Isserles tapped DLS for a fresh look. We handled the design of the firm's web site, designed in tandem with their logo and associated stationery pieces. At www.machtshapiro.com
