DLS Design: Logos for Lawyers

Background: A solo practitioner, Ronald J. Cappuccio, business and tax attorney, requested a simple logo on a budget. We welcome such projects when the parameters are simple, and don't require extensive research, the development of a style manual or other ancillary work. In this case, the client had already determined that he wanted a simple treatment of his initials, combined with scales of justice.

Process: We chose a typeface with simple lines that wouldn't interfere with an icon. In the font Avant Garde, the capital "R" was adjusted to line up with the "chain" holding the "pan".
