Icons by DLS Design
Icons are widely used in software, on web sites and other interfaces.
DLS Design has designed an extensive portfolio of custom
icons. Our assignments have ranged from a collection of 600 icons
for a major software developer in the telecom industry, down to
small groupings of icons for editorial use and promotional web sites.
Here are three sets in different styles.

In designing icons for software, a web site or other interface,
we work closely with the client to examine the environment where
the icons will appear. Icons can be furnished in one or more states
to accommodate "rollovers". Generally, software interface
clients ask for two, an "off" state, and an "over"
state, although in some cases a third is needed for a "down"
state.
For Windows applications, icons appearing in toolbars and other
interfaces should conform to a fairly uniform set of sizes: 48x48,
32x32, 24x24 and 16x16 pixels. For web sites and other interfaces,
almost any size can be used.
Deliverables
We can provide "loose" icons directly to the client by
email, although most prefer them laid out on a private, unpublished
web page against a specified background. We can also render them
in context by inserting them a screen shot of your software interface
or web site. Careful preparation enables us to prepare any icon
against a transparent background, enabling it to work against backgrounds
of multiple colors. This is ideal for developers whose applications
enable the end user to choose from a set of color schemes.
