DLS custom-designed these law firm brochures to the requirements of our law firm clients. For Simon & Partners the brochure opens to a spread. Gordon & Silber, a larger firm, required a 12-page book, to accommodate its range of practices and short bios of about a dozen partners. Because we designed each firm’s web site, the brochures strongly match the online presence. See www.simonlawyers.com and www.gordon-silber.com. ...............................................................................................Febuary 2007: Pino BrochureDLS designed the new firm brochure for Pino & Associates, a law firm in Westchester County, NY. Compared to more formal brochures, this is an omnibus piece with all relevant info visible on a gatefold spread. A pocket for insertions is included. In designing the graphics DLS adopted themes from the firm's web site, but improved upon their logo and color scheme. Later in the year we took the same improvements and re-designed the site itself, at www.pinolaw.com. Looking to upgrade your brochure or web site? Call us at 212-255-3464. ...............................................................................................January 2007: Federman Steifman LLPFederman Steifman LLP is an established law firm specializing in complex and sophisticated real estate, structured finance and corporate transactions. DLS Design blended images from our own collection of NYC skyline and construction photography along with some still life work, and a balanced corporate palette of blues, grays and silvers. The site contains detailed practice-area descriptions. At www.federmansteifman.com. ...............................................................................................December 2006: Law Office of Patricia A. PileggiPatricia Pileggi has represented business people, bankers, executives of companies and others in criminal cases — many of these are high-profile cases covered in the national news media. The site centers around descriptions of these cases, involving securities fraud, money laundering, tax fraud and other serious matters. At www.paplaw.com. ...............................................................................................November 2006: Begos & Horgan, LLPWestport, Connecticut-based Begos & Horgan hired DLS Design to create their web site. Begos & Horgan litigates business matters in their home state as well as in New York. At www.begoshorgan.com. DLS is pleased to offer our services to clients in Connecticut, as well as Westchester and Long Island — other locations of clients whose projects we are working on now. Also during November: DLS Design Makes Presentation at Lawyers' Event ..............................................................................................August 2006: Slater & Beckerman, LLPWe designed this bright, catchy web site for Slater & Beckerman, LLP, a boutique firm practicing zoning law in New York City. The graphics are in the style of a famous painter of the twentieth century. To us, the painter's style always evoked a grid of city streets, a good graphical metaphor for the field of zoning law. At www.slaterbeckerman.com .............................................................................................. July 2006: Gordon & Silber, PCWe designed this handsome web site for Gordon & Silber, a 35-attorney firm in midtown Manhattan. The firm handles insurance defense, medical malpractice, products liability and related areas. At www.gordon-silber.com. ............................................................................................... June 2006: Law Offices of Frank MartinezWe worked 9-to-5, and then some, on this new web site for Frank Martinez, a lawyer whose practice focuses on workplace law, employee issues, and related matters. A big firm look, for a small firm with good judgement. Mr. Martinez holds employment seminars for HR managers, and the site includes a page for signing up using PayPal. We also designed invitations to the seminars. At www.fmartinezlaw.com. ............................................................................................... April 2006: Dorsey & Whitney "Anti-Fraud" web site
DLS designed this site for Dorsey & Whitney, LLP, an international law firm with over 600 lawyers, handling corporate law and litigation. Located in New York City, The Gillen Brewer School educates young children with emotional and learning disabilities. In planning the design, DLS used mild, near-primary colors and sans serif fonts, including a childlike animation of the school's logo on the homepage. The GBS site is built to grow, with areas ready for content from a variety of departments and classes. At www.gillenbrewer.com.
In March, 2006, we completed work on the school's brochure, and received the following testimonial:
"I am very pleased to enclose for your portfolio samples of our brand new brochures. They are wonderful and we cannot thank you enough for guiding us through the design process. While we know who we are and what we do, we appreciate your helping us to present our message to the public — and solidify our identity — through a brochure that is clear, concise, professional and beautifully designed. With gratitude..."

Run by students, Education Without Boundaries is a nonprofit focusing on education. Their first mission is in Sierra Leone, a nation torn by a decade-long civil war. The group will construct an all-women's rehabilitation center in Freetown, for young women who were sexually abused during the war. The center will provide education, vocational training and micro loans. DLS designed the web site and logo on a pro-bono basis. At www.educationwithoutboundaries.net

In November, we completed a re-design of the newsletter for MERCAZ USA, a longtime client whose mission is to encourage travel to, and religious pluralism in Israel. Our work included graphics, production and analysis of paper stock, a big consideration when an organization wants to both update its look and get the best price. A re-branding of the web site is expected. If your company needs a newsletter designed or updated, contact us at .
Orans, Elsen & Lupert, LLP didn't need to shop around for the design of their sharp new web site they just called DLS Design. OEL handles both civil and white-collar criminal litigation. Our design includes photography we shot of the firm's new location. The homepage is a simple Flash animation, with a backdrop of the firm's lobby, motion-blurred to convey a sense of movement. Navigation bars on pages use Flash "movies" to produce scrolling and fading effects. www.oellaw.com

Sheldon Lobel PC, a boutique law firm concentrating on land
use, real estate and zoning law, hired us to design their web site,
logo and collateral materials. The firm's
cases include well-known buildings and properties in New York City,
enabling complicated or unusual projects to be built. Looking to
raise their profile, they found DLS Design a good fit. www.sheldonlobelpc.com

We built a tightly integrated site for A.M. Foodservice International,
which distributes foodservice equipment in a group of international

The law firm of Epstein & Littwin concentrates on all areas of Elder Law, including wills, trusts, probate and health care advocacy. Our approach in designing their site was to use warmer colors and more photos of people than other recent law projects whose practice areas white-collar crime, litigation and the like suggested a more austere palette. Here we refined an existing logo, animating it in Flash. Visit the site at www.lawadvocacy.com
The Law Offices Of Sean F. O'Shea represents clients in high-profile, complex litigations and government investigations. The design of the web site needed to capture the firm's aggressive style and experience in negotiating with, and litigating against, prosecutors and other major law firms. The site won a 2004 Award of Distinction from the Communicator Awards; see it at www.oshealaw.com

We designed a new site for SPI / Spare Parts International, an international supplier of spare parts for commercial cooking equipment. We created a logo treatment by modifying an industrial font, and carried into the rest of the site its metallic tones, suggestive of many of the products being supported. The site includes eight foreign language pages; the non-western pages use images instead of fonts. The site is also a portal to a spare-parts database, located on another site and not implemented by us. See www.spiparts.com and learn why they love us at SPI.

Dr. Kolin is well known in Brooklyn, NY for his orthodontics practice, now over 40 years old and including his daughter, Dr. Susan Liebman. With short pages, bright colors and a simple structure, we wanted the site to help people considering treatment for themselves or their children. The goal was to defuse an intimidating subject.
