Here are collected samples of the best work we have done over the past several years. We have designed web sites since 1995, and have experience with print and corporate identity extending back even earlier. For current projects, go to our News page. Or, review our work by market sector. See Marketing for Law Firms, Marketing for Non Profits, and Marketing for Industrial Businesses.

Throughout this web site, the projects we've done for our clients are always reproduced with their permission. We think it shows they appreciate our work, and we appreciate their confidence.

April 2007: Litigators

Clayman & Rosenberg, Jeffrey A. Jannuzzo Esq.

With the spring, two new law clients are proud to see our creations bloom for them. Each one has special touches. Litigation boutique Clayman & Rosenberg’s site uses courtroom sketches and a simple navigation scheme. Jeffrey Jannuzzo’s site includes a simple Flash animation to dramatize a practice concentrating on partnership disputes. See www.clayro.com and www.jannuzzo.com.

DLS custom-designed these law firm brochures to the requirements of our law firm clients. For Simon & Partners the brochure opens to a spread. Gordon & Silber, a larger firm, required a 12-page book, to accommodate its range of practices and short bios of about a dozen partners. Because we designed each firm’s web site, the brochures strongly match the online presence. See www.simonlawyers.com and www.gordon-silber.com.

Febuary 2007: Pino Brochure

DLS designed the new firm brochure for Pino & Associates, a law firm in Westchester County, NY. Compared to more formal brochures, this is an omnibus piece with all relevant info visible on a gatefold spread. A pocket for insertions is included. In designing the graphics DLS adopted themes from the firm's web site, but improved upon their logo and color scheme. Later in the year we took the same improvements and re-designed the site itself, at www.pinolaw.com. Looking to upgrade your brochure or web site? Call us at 212-255-3464.

January 2007: Federman Steifman LLP

Federman Steifman LLP

Federman Steifman LLP is an established law firm specializing in complex and sophisticated real estate, structured finance and corporate transactions. DLS Design blended images from our own collection of NYC skyline and construction photography along with some still life work, and a balanced corporate palette of blues, grays and silvers. The site contains detailed practice-area descriptions. At www.federmansteifman.com.

December 2006: Law Office of Patricia A. Pileggi

Law Office of Patricia A. Pileggi

Patricia Pileggi has represented business people, bankers, executives of companies and others in criminal cases — many of these are high-profile cases covered in the national news media. The site centers around descriptions of these cases, involving securities fraud, money laundering, tax fraud and other serious matters. At www.paplaw.com.

...............................................................................................

November 2006: Begos & Horgan, LLP

Begos & Horgan

Westport, Connecticut-based Begos & Horgan hired DLS Design to create their web site. Begos & Horgan litigates business matters in their home state as well as in New York. At www.begoshorgan.com. DLS is pleased to offer our services to clients in Connecticut, as well as Westchester and Long Island — other locations of clients whose projects we are working on now.

Also during November: DLS Design Makes Presentation at Lawyers' Event
DLS presented a seminar, "Website Development for Small Law Firms," at a dinner sponsored by Hudson Valley Bank, and the law firm of Rivera Hunter and Colon, LLP. Held at the Princeton Club in New York City. We will be giving another seminar in February, 2007, this time focusing on vendors to the elder-care market. Interested in having us speak at your event? Email our president at

August 2006: Slater & Beckerman, LLP

Slater & Beckerman, LLP

We designed this bright, catchy web site for Slater & Beckerman, LLP, a boutique firm practicing zoning law in New York City. The graphics are in the style of a famous painter of the twentieth century. To us, the painter's style always evoked a grid of city streets, a good graphical metaphor for the field of zoning law. At www.slaterbeckerman.com

July 2006: Gordon & Silber, PC

Gordon & Silber, PC

We designed this handsome web site for Gordon & Silber, a 35-attorney firm in midtown Manhattan. The firm handles insurance defense, medical malpractice, products liability and related areas. At www.gordon-silber.com.

Law Offices of Frank Martinez

We worked 9-to-5, and then some, on this new web site for Frank Martinez, a lawyer whose practice focuses on workplace law, employee issues, and related matters. A big firm look, for a small firm with good judgement. Mr. Martinez holds employment seminars for HR managers, and the site includes a page for signing up using PayPal. We also designed invitations to the seminars. At www.fmartinezlaw.com.

...............................................................................................

April 2006: Dorsey & Whitney "Anti-Fraud" web site

Dorsey & Whitney "Anti-Fraud" web site

DLS designed this site for Dorsey & Whitney, LLP, an international law firm with over 600 lawyers, handling corporate law and litigation. We designed a special-purpose web site for a project of the firm linking together lawyers in different geographic areas with expertise in fraud, at www.antifraudnetwork.com. If you are from a larger firm and interested in our services, feel free to contact us for a consultation.

...............................................................................................

April 2006: Gordon Mehler, LLP

Gordon Mehler LLC

And in our small-firm design practice, we completed work on a new web site for Gordon Mehler, a former federal prosecutor and Deputy Assistant U.S. Attorney General. In addition to descriptions of the firm's services, the site has a large section on press mentions. In our recent sites we've moved away from a dark, heavy look to web interfaces using lighter colors. See the site at www.mehlerlaw.com

February 2006: Berger Webb, LLC

Berger Webb LLC

Berger & Webb, LLP provides litigation and transactional services to US and international clients. Using lots of city views, DLS designed a web site with graceful Flash navigation and sophisticated colors. At www.bergerwebb.com

January 2006: The Gillen Brewer School

The Gillen Brewer School   The Gillen Brewer School

Read more about non-profit brochure design.

Located in New York City, The Gillen Brewer School educates young children with emotional and learning disabilities. In planning the design, DLS used mild, near-primary colors and sans serif fonts, including a childlike animation of the school's logo on the homepage. The GBS site is built to grow, with areas ready for content from a variety of departments and classes. At www.gillenbrewer.com.

In March, 2006, we completed work on the school's brochure, and received the following testimonial:

"I am very pleased to enclose for your portfolio samples of our brand new brochures. They are wonderful and we cannot thank you enough for guiding us through the design process. While we know who we are and what we do, we appreciate your helping us to present our message to the public — and solidify our identity — through a brochure that is clear, concise, professional and beautifully designed. With gratitude..."

A New York City institution, Office Furniture Heaven sells commercial office furniture of the new, used and reconditioned kinds. We designed this first-stage web site in just a few weeks, putting the client online with a crisp, easily navigated site covering all the basics. At the outset of the project, we plotted the likely functions we'll add to the site, as it grows to meet additional needs. At www.officefurnitureheaven.com

Education Without Boundaries Home Page

Read more about DLS Design's print projects.

Run by students, Education Without Boundaries is a nonprofit focusing on education. Their first mission is in Sierra Leone, a nation torn by a decade-long civil war. The group will construct an all-women's rehabilitation center in Freetown, for young women who were sexually abused during the war. The center will provide education, vocational training and micro loans. DLS designed the web site and logo on a pro-bono basis. At www.educationwithoutboundaries.net

April 2005: Simon says, "design our web site"

Simon & Partners home page

Simon & Partners, LLP is a small litigation firm headed by a former federal prosecutor. We designed a simple website with "arresting" visuals (we couldn't resist). A bit of Flash on the home page, and this dizzying view of the firm's Rock Center office tower help the overall effect. At www.simonlawyers.com.

Praesidian Capital home page

A $150 million private fund, Praesidian Capital provides "mezzanine debt" for established, middle-market companies, as well as for management/leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations and refinancings. Our design for the logo consists of three linked diamonds, symbolizing mezzanine debt's position between bank capital and shareholder equity; the web site is simple, clean and direct. At www.praesidian.com

November 2004: Nonprofit newsletter gets revamp

mercaz newsletter

Our print work can be as simple as a 4-page newsletter or as complex as a 100-page book. Read more in our Print section.

In November, we completed a re-design of the newsletter for MERCAZ USA, a longtime client whose mission is to encourage travel to, and religious pluralism in Israel. Our work included graphics, production and analysis of paper stock, a big consideration when an organization wants to both update its look and get the best price. A re-branding of the web site is expected. If your company needs a newsletter designed or updated, contact us at .

October 2004: "Boutique" law firm didn't have to shop around

Orans, Elsen & Lupert web site

Orans, Elsen & Lupert, LLP didn't need to shop around for the design of their sharp new web site — they just called DLS Design. OEL handles both civil and white-collar criminal litigation. Our design includes photography we shot of the firm's new location. The homepage is a simple Flash animation, with a backdrop of the firm's lobby, motion-blurred to convey a sense of movement. Navigation bars on pages use Flash "movies" to produce scrolling and fading effects. www.oellaw.com

September 2004: Web site for law firm is "in the zone"

Sheldon Lobel home page

Sheldon Lobel PC, a boutique law firm concentrating on land use, real estate and zoning law, hired us to design their web site, logo and collateral materials. February 2004: DLS wins new law firm's "trust"

Epstein & Littwin law firm web site

The law firm of Epstein & Littwin concentrates on all areas of Elder Law, including wills, trusts, probate and health care advocacy. Our approach in designing their site was to use warmer colors and more photos of people than other recent law projects whose practice areas — white-collar crime, litigation and the like — suggested a more austere palette. Here we refined an existing logo, animating it in Flash. Visit the site at www.lawadvocacy.com

...............................................................................................

December 2003:

O'Shea Law Firm home page

The Law Offices Of Sean F. O'Shea represents clients in high-profile, complex litigations and government investigations. The design of the web site needed to capture the firm's aggressive style and experience in negotiating with, and litigating against, prosecutors and other major law firms. The site won a 2004 Award of Distinction from the Communicator Awards; see it at www.oshealaw.com

...............................................................................................

July 2003: The SPI who loved us

Spare Parts International home page

We designed a new site for SPI / Spare Parts International, an international supplier of spare parts for commercial cooking equipment. We created a logo treatment by modifying an industrial font, and carried into the rest of the site its metallic tones, suggestive of many of the products being supported. The site includes eight foreign language pages; the non-western pages use images instead of fonts. The site is also a portal to a spare-parts database, located on another site and not implemented by us. See www.spiparts.com and learn why they love us at SPI.

Kobre & Kim home page

February 2004:
Homepage upgraded with Flash animation.

As another new law firm opens its doors, DLS Design is there with a fully-developed web site for them. Kobre & Kim LLP, which focuses on litigation, required a polished site to grow with the firm. Do we fill the need for small and medium-size firms that need a professional job done in a short timeframe? Visit www.kobrekim.com and "judge" for yourself.

April 2003: Orthodontists' web site designed to ease pain.

Orthodontist web site

Dr. Kolin is well known in Brooklyn, NY for his orthodontics practice, now over 40 years old and including his daughter, Dr. Susan Liebman. With short pages, bright colors and a simple structure, we wanted the site to help people considering treatment for themselves or their children. The goal was to defuse an intimidating subject.
